Anti-Racism Evaluation & Advisory Committee
The mission of the Anti-Racism Evaluation & Advisory Committee is to ensure that all policies and practices of the Westchester County Continuum of Care Partnership to End Homelessness (CoC) seek to identify and dismantle systemic barriers in access to housing resources for all people experiencing homelessness in our county.
The CoC is committed to proactively addressing disparities and working toward the equitable provision of homeless services in Westchester County. The vision for this group is to better understand and address the root causes that place Black and Hispanic people at higher risks of homelessness and facilitate change that reduce and/or eliminate individual and system barriers.
Our purpose is to examine data, studies and reports, both internal and external to our CoC to make policy recommendations which reduce disparities, racism, and inequality. We will use evidence-based practices to identify barriers in access to CoC resources on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender to make recommendations to the CoC Board on revisions to existing policies and implementation of new policies.
